....or is anyone else sick of some of the posters they hang up at school?
You know the ones. Those big posters that say "Why do we have a dress code?" "Why is regular attendance important?" "Why are there no cell phones allowed at school?" A lot of us have to put up with listening to the rules at every other time of day, and I don't think those posters are going to help the ones who break them very much.
My dad says they had a student bulletin when he was a kid. Students could post their own announcements about parties, events, and recitals, in an obvious place where everyone would see. I'm guessing it would be monitored so kids wouldn't use it to bully someone. What do you think about this idea? Post your answer on the comments page!

FOOT, FOS, Assigned Seats
One of the major protests going on right now is against assigned seats. Thanks to a couple of people, the rest of us are punished-rather unfair, if you ask me. Two organizations came out of this....
FOS- Freedom Of Seats. This was started by my friends Laney and EverestGirl (alias), who are raising awareness about the issue by passing out buttons. Some slogans written on the buttons: "We're not in elementary school!" "Lunch used to be my favorite class...." "We didn't do it!" "Should we be punished for another person's crime?" "All I want for X-mas is a new lunch seat!"
FOOT-Freedom Of Our Tables. This was started by my friend J, who has a plan mapped out. "If the seats stay until January, I'm going to talk with someone. They should make a sheet of rules and get people to sign it, saying that now they will follow the rules," he told me.
As usual, whenever we hold a protest, there are lots of buttons (I'll post some images later) and ImageChef images! What's that? You don't know what ImageChef is? It's a really cool photo site that puts your text and images in extreme locations. Check out some of the pictures I made:
